Yes, Bloom Room is open for both Medical and Recreational Use. Everyone 21+ years or older is invited to visit any of our beautiful storefront dispensaries. All you need is an ID from any state or country that proves you are at least 21 years old. We also may admit those who are 18-20 with a valid California recommendation for medical cannabis and a California ID.

Bloom Room’s San Francisco Dispensary is located off Mint Plaza near the Westfield Shopping Center and Union Square in the SOMA district of downtown San Francisco. We carry a large variety of quality products and our knowledgeable cannabis consultants are ready to help you find the right cannabis products based on our individual tastes and needs. WHAT ARE CONCENTRATES / WHAT IS A DAB?

Concentrates are refined cannabis extracts. Using cannabis flowers, trim, or shake, extract artists remove the active cannabinoids from the plant material. The result is a concentrated version of the medicine from which it came.
A dab is a way of in-taking this cannabis extract through vaporization. Dabbing is when you take a small amount of cannabis concentrate and vaporize it by dropping it directly onto hot titanium or quartz glass nail, then inhale the vapor through a glass water piece.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF THE CANNABIS / MARIJUANA? 

We utilize full-spectrum testing to determine the quality of the medication. This includes potency levels for all available cannabinoids. In addition to potency, our testing also screens for any substances like pesticides, chemicals, bacteria, and mold. This ensures that our medicine is of the highest quality, as well as being both safe and potent. 

DO YOU TEST FOR THC AND CBD?

Bloom Room opts for full-spectrum Lab Testing and Screening. That means, we collect potency data on all available cannabinoids: THC, CBD, CBN, CBC, THCV, and CBG. This ensures that all the cannabis you find at any of our Bloom Room Dispensaries will be as potent and pure as advertised and will have the potency data displayed on the side of the packaging.

WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound in cannabis that has significant medical benefits but does not make the user feel “stoned”. In fact, CBD can actually counter the psychoactivity of THC. The reduced psychoactivity of CBD-rich Cannabis may make it an appealing treatment option for Members seeking anti-inflammatory, anti-pain, anti-anxiety, anti-psychotic, and/or anti-spasm effects without disconcerting lethargy or dysphoria. CBD has a seemingly endless list of medical benefits and can be an effective treatment for a multitude of conditions.

WHAT IS CBN?

Cannabinol (CBN) is another cannabinoid that is responsible for many of the sedative properties of cannabis. The effects are similar to those associated with Indica strains; appetite stimulation, sedation, pain relief, and deep relaxation. As cannabis ages its THC degrades into CBN. This is a possible reason why people often swear cannabis was stronger “back in the day.” Today’s consumers have access to fresh cannabis, which is higher in the more uplifting THC, while back in the day we were enjoying the heavy couch-lock effects of CBN in aged flower. Our livers also turn THC into CBN, which is why edibles can have a strong sedative effect.

HOW MUCH OF AN EDIBLE SHOULD I EAT? WHAT IS AN EDIBLE DOSE?

Edibles affect everyone differently. Your experience will vary depending on what you’ve eaten and how much you weigh. The best way to find out how an edible will affect you is to try a small amount and wait at least two hours. Beginner edible consumers may find that edibles already divided into small pieces (candy, chocolate pips, mini cookies) provide a perfect micro-dose. Use caution when trying any edible for the first time. Over-consuming edibles is easy, but remember it is not dangerous to your health; any discomfort you experience will pass.
As far as doses and milligrams, doses are the subjective interpretation of a single serving; the perfect amount for the average person. Milligrams are a more scientific and accurate way of displaying edible strength. Most edibles are divided into doses of 5 or 10 milligrams. The average (subjective) dose is anywhere between 5-20mg, although others consume +100mg per day. 

CAN I SPLIT UP MY EIGHTH?

We do not split our eighths into grams or half-eighths. All our pre-weighed eighths are always weighed over to ensure that they are at least the advertised weight. 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A RECREATIONAL OR ADULT-USE  MEMBER OF A CANNABIS CLUB?

All you need to become a Member and access our world-class selection of cannabis products is a government-issued ID from any State or Nation that proves you are at least 21 years old. 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A MEDICAL MEMBER OF A CANNABIS CLUB? 

There are two required documents to become a Medical Bloom Room member:
 -Doctor's recommendation for medical cannabis.
 -Proof of California residency (State ID/Driver’s License, residency affidavit, utility bill, or rental lease) 
 Once we have the proper documents, getting signed up is easy.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEDICAL CANNABIS PATIENT?

You no longer need a medical recommendation for cannabis to enter the Bloom Room; however, if you want to speak with a doctor and receive your recommendation, it’s very easy! Most people who think they qualify for medical cannabis do. There are several medical cannabis evaluation centers nearby that can write you a yearlong recommendation for medical cannabis. 

DO YOU ACCEPT OUT-OF-STATE CANNABIS RECOMMENDATIONS OR PRESCRIPTIONS?

Anyone can now visit Bloom Room if they are over 21 years old with a valid ID. However, California law strictly prohibits us from accepting medical patients from out-of-state. Along with a recommendation for medical cannabis, we must also collect a California Driver's License/ID or Proof of CA Residency (State ID/Driver’s License, residency affidavit, utility bill, rental lease) upon your first visit. 

WHAT IF I AM INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VENDOR?

Bloom Room welcomes all new vendors as we endlessly explore California’s finest cannabis products. Vendors must arrive in person at the dispensary to deliver a sample of your cannabis product for consideration by our buyer. If we choose to offer your product, our buyer will contact you via the contact information you’ve left on the Vendor Form.

We do not have regular vending hours however, potential vendors are welcome to leave a sample of their product and fill out our vendor form for consideration by our Buyer. If the Buyer is interested in offering your product at the Collective, you will be contacted via the information you left on the Vendor Form.
